Pyxis Group, a diversified advisory firm serving the global industrial and commodities sectors, has announced a landmark pair of appointments that signal its bold ambitions for AI-led growth and international expansion. The firm has named Kunal Ramtri and Tun Win as Managing Directors and co-heads of its Global Commodities Trading & Risk practice and its Trading AI practice — bringing together two of the most complementary skill sets in the global commodities advisory space.
A Strategic Double Appointment at a Critical Juncture
The appointments come at a defining moment for the commodities advisory sector. Trading organisations worldwide are navigating an increasingly complex environment — characterised by market volatility, shifting regulations, growing pressure to modernise legacy systems, and the accelerating integration of artificial intelligence into front-to-back trading operations. Advisory firms that can combine deep commodities expertise with genuine AI delivery capability are in high demand, and Pyxis Group is positioning itself squarely at that intersection.
By appointing Kunal Ramtri and Tun Win as co-heads across both its commodities trading and risk management practice and its Trading AI practice, Pyxis is making a clear statement: the future of commodities advisory is inseparable from the future of AI. Together, the two leaders will drive an integrated offering that connects trading strategy, risk management, and advanced AI-powered solutions into a single, cohesive client proposition.
"Kunal and Tun are proven leaders with complementary expertise that perfectly positions Pyxis to support clients in an increasingly complex and technology-driven commodities landscape. Their combined track record of delivering results in high-stakes environments and focus on execution-led value creation will be instrumental in scaling our global platform."— Matt Flanagan, Partner, Pyxis Group
Kunal Ramtri: Execution-Led Transformation Across Global Commodities
Kunal Ramtri brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning commodity trading, refining, and large-scale business and technology transformation. Throughout his career, he has held senior operating and advisory roles at global organisations, leading complex M&A integrations, enterprise-wide transformation programmes, and technology-enabled value creation initiatives across some of the most demanding commercial environments in the commodities sector.
In his new role at Pyxis, Kunal will advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, trading and risk management, digital transformation, and operational optimisation. His focus has increasingly centred on leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance trading performance, improve supply chain resilience, and enable more predictive, data-driven decision-making across global commodity operations.
As part of Pyxis Group's broader international growth strategy, Kunal will relocate to Zurich, Switzerland, in Summer 2026 to support the firm's expansion across EMEA, strengthening its presence in key commodities and financial hubs across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
"Having led multiple transformation programmes and M&A integrations, I understand that value is ultimately delivered through execution. My focus has increasingly been on leveraging AI and advanced analytics to enhance trading performance, improve supply chain resilience, and enable more predictive, data-driven decision-making." — Kunal Ramtri
Tun Win: Deep AI/ML Expertise Meets Front-to-Back Trading Transformation
Tun Win brings more than two decades of highly specialised experience focused on front-to-back trading transformations and building AI and machine learning capabilities that deliver measurable commercial impact. His deep technical expertise spans ETRM/CTRM systems, market data infrastructure, and advanced AI/ML applications — precisely the combination of skills that commodity trading organisations need as they modernise their technology stacks and integrate intelligent automation into their trading operations.
As co-head of Pyxis's Trading AI practice, Tun will work alongside Kunal to help clients navigate volatility, optimise operations, and create competitive advantage through intelligent, AI-powered solutions. His client-centric, results-driven approach is closely aligned with Pyxis Group's mission of delivering execution-led value — not just strategic advice.
