Prism Layer — the Washington, DC-based startup building the first AI-native platform for enterprise risk management — has officially named Liam Kenneally as its Founding Chief Revenue Officer. The appointment marks a critical milestone for the fast-moving company as it accelerates its commercial rollout across financial services, aviation, energy, defense, and other highly regulated sectors.
A Revenue Leader Built for Regulated Markets
Liam Kenneally brings a focused background in AI adoption within regulated industries, with deep experience partnering with top financial institutions to deploy machine learning and advanced analytics for risk management. His prior work at Stratyfy — a transparent, bias-aware AI platform for lending decisions — saw him advocating for responsible innovation at the highest levels, including representing the company before members of the U.S. Congress on Capitol Hill.
At Prism Layer, Kenneally has already been instrumental from the ground up, leading go-to-market strategy, business development, partnerships, revenue operations, and market expansion since the company's launch. His elevation to Founding CRO formalises that commercial leadership at a pivotal moment as Prism Layer moves from its proof-of-concept phase into active enterprise customer onboarding.
"Liam saw this market coming before most people did. He understands that innovation in regulated industries relies on trust, proof, technical fluency, and disciplined execution. This instinct and expertise make Liam the ideal leader to build our revenue engine."— Simone Garreau, CEO & Co-Founder, Prism Layer
What Prism Layer Is Building — and Why It Matters
Prism Layer emerged from stealth in April 2026 with a pre-seed funding round led by Fenway Summer, a venture firm with deep regulatory roots, and participation from Plural Ventures and a syndicate of angel investors. The company was co-founded by Simone Garreau, Daniel Nolan, and Chandra Bradley — all three former risk executives at Block — whose collective experience spans Western Union, Robinhood, Remitly, Visa, and Oportun, as well as engagements with global regulators including the CBI, APRA, and FCA.
The platform addresses a structural problem that has gone unsolved for over two decades: enterprise risk management has not meaningfully kept pace with modern business speed. Prism Layer encodes an organisation's risk frameworks, regulatory context, and institutional knowledge into a governed agentic execution layer that produces auditable, defensible risk analysis in real time. The platform supports risk assessments, key risk indicators (KRIs), controls testing, RCSAs, and product risk review — built to withstand scrutiny from boards and regulators alike.
Early alpha users have already reported enterprise risk assessments completed in days rather than months — a dramatic compression of the timelines that have long hampered regulated organisations operating under active AI mandates.
