HubSpot (NYSE: HUBS) has named Jerry Dischler to its Board of Directors, effective August 5, 2026. The move brings nearly two decades of Google leadership experience to the customer platform company as it deepens its bet on AI and agentic technology.
A Career Built on AI at Scale
Dischler is currently a Partner at Angular Ventures, where he backs early-stage AI and enterprise technology companies. Before that, he served as President of Cloud Applications at Google, a role in which he pushed forward AI adoption across Google Workspace and led development of AI-first business applications.
Earlier in his career, Dischler spent more than 15 years rising through Google's Ads business, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of Advertising, where he oversaw the company's full advertising portfolio, spanning search, display, shopping, travel, video, and analytics. During that time he also led the launch of Performance Max, widely regarded as the industry's first fully AI-driven advertising product, an experience that closely mirrors HubSpot's own focus on helping businesses attract and engage customers.
"Jerry is one of the most accomplished AI product leaders in our industry"— YAMINI RANGAN, CEO, HubSpot
Why the Board Wanted Him
CEO Yamini Rangan pointed to Dischler's grasp of both the transformative potential of AI and the practical work of building and scaling AI-first products as key reasons for the appointment, adding that his track record shaping product strategy around real customer needs will support HubSpot's continued growth.
For his part, Dischler said he has seen firsthand how AI is reshaping the way businesses connect with customers, and that he's looking forward to being part of what HubSpot builds next on that front.
