Google Cloud has rolled out its first purpose-built, packaged industry solutions on top of its secure Gemini Enterprise platform, targeting two of the most heavily regulated corners of the economy: financial services and legal. The new offerings are designed to automate intricate, multi-step workflows that general-purpose AI tools simply aren't equipped to handle under strict compliance requirements.
Uniting Data and Compliance
Satish Thomas, Vice President at Google Cloud, framed the launch as being built entirely around customer transformation, noting that the goal is to help organisations in every region and industry move their workloads fully into the AI era.
According to Thomas, what differentiates the platform is its library of purpose-built skills, developed alongside industry experts to automate routine tasks while sticking to deterministic business rules. The platform also ships with pre-built AI agents created by Google and partner software companies, ready to deploy immediately, backed by a growing ecosystem of technology partners.
Crucially, the underlying technology runs entirely inside an organisation's own private cloud perimeter. Customer data, client files and prompts are never used to train Google's base models, and access permissions from existing document management systems carry over automatically.

Transforming Capital Market Operations
For financial institutions, Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is built to streamline complex, multi-step processes. Relationship managers gain tailored insights to sharpen advisor interactions, while risk teams can run full portfolio shock analyses, complete with automated duration-hedging strategies, in under five minutes.
Onboarding workflows across private banking and prime brokerage use multi-format document ingestion to evaluate client risk profiles and map ultimate beneficial owners. Credit teams can isolate mispricings to surface trade ideas, and fixed-income teams can compress client pitch creation from days down to minutes.
Thomas Kurian, CEO at Google Cloud, says financial professionals want an AI platform that avoids locking them into a single model or ecosystem, connects to the systems they already rely on, and meets high security and compliance standards — which is exactly what the new offering delivers.
Deutsche Bank served as a key design partner for the platform's Financial Research agent, helping shape it around strict data residency requirements. Other early adopters include CME Group, BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group, Macquarie Bank and Signal Iduna.
Streamlining Advanced Legal Practice
On the legal side, the platform automates the tracking of global regulatory changes, cross-referencing them against enterprise policies and drafting the necessary updates. It also modernises privacy work by pulling data across enterprise systems to fulfil Data Subject Access Requests.
Contracting teams can benchmark inbound vendor agreements against internal playbooks and turn historical document archives into living contracting guides. The system can also handle Motion to Seal filings by redacting sensitive data, and generate non-disclosure agreements with built-in structural validation.
Kurian notes that legal teams need precise data verification, and that the legal offering is designed to manage the realities of modern legal work while giving teams the grounding and governance they need to focus on strategic counsel.
Initial legal launch clients include Cleary, Freshfields, Weil and Williams & Connolly. Jeff Karpf, Managing Partner at Cleary, says the platform's ability to slot in seamlessly alongside other daily work tools is helping unlock greater efficiencies for their teams.
