Sitecore Appoints Eric Stine as Chief Executive Officer
Sitecore®, a global leader in digital experience management software, has appointed Eric Stine as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
The announcement follows Sitecore’s recent reinvention of its core Digital Experience Platform (DXP) and Content Management System (CMS) to meet the demands of the AI era. With a proven track record in scaling enterprise software, Stine is expected to drive further market expansion and position Sitecore to attract more top-tier global brands.
Having previously served as Sitecore’s Chief Operating Officer, Stine has played a vital role in expanding the company’s go-to-market strategy. Under his leadership, Sitecore XM Cloud—the company’s AI-enabled SaaS platform—has seen impressive growth in global revenues, improved customer retention, and an expanded partner ecosystem. His efforts have laid the foundation for a new era of innovation and customer-centric growth.
“I’m honored to lead Sitecore through the next phase of growth and innovation,” said Eric Stine. “Having engaged closely with our clients, partners, and employees, I believe we are uniquely positioned to help brands simplify how they reach, engage, and serve their customers.”
Sitecore’s clients include renowned organizations such as Blue Yonder, CIMIC Group, Equifax, INEOS Automotive, QBE, RAI Amsterdam, Shure, and Zurich Insurance Group. Stine added, “We have the most advanced AI-powered DX platform in the market, creating hyper-personalized customer connections at global scale. Our ecosystem drives value faster than any other vendor—putting us in a league of our own.”
Darren Roos, Chairman of the Board at Sitecore, commented, “Eric has an outstanding history of leading high-performing teams and understands the evolving needs of digital experience customers. His technical acumen and strategic vision will propel Sitecore through its next phase, making AI a powerful differentiator.” Roos also thanked former CEO Dave O’Flanagan for laying the groundwork for Sitecore’s transformation and long-term growth.
Stine steps into the role after the successful leadership of Dave O’Flanagan, who joined Sitecore via its acquisition of Boxever. As founder and CEO of Boxever, and later Chief Product Officer and CEO at Sitecore, O’Flanagan led the company into the cloud and enabled AI capabilities that redefined customer experience. He will continue as an advisor to the Sitecore board.
Before Sitecore, Eric Stine served as CEO of Elemica and held senior executive roles at Skillsoft, Qualtrics, and SAP. At SAP, he built customer-centric operations and led go-to-market strategies across North America.
AI remains central to Sitecore’s strategy. The company recently announced a partnership with Microsoft to enhance its AI capabilities, further supporting marketers and developers with advanced, scalable tools.
With Eric Stine at the helm, Sitecore aims to accelerate its mission: empowering brands to create personalized, data-driven digital experiences that drive measurable business results through cutting-edge AI technologies.
