At IFA 2026 in Berlin, TP-Link Systems Inc. introduced what it calls the world's first complete Wi-Fi 8 lineup, headlined by the Archer 8 Ultra router and the Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. Built around the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, the new hardware pairs chipsets from Broadcom, Qualcomm, and MediaTek with TP-Link's own engineering to target the connectivity problems users actually notice — not just faster top speeds.
Built for Reliability, Not Just Speed
Rather than chasing incremental speed gains, TP-Link positions Wi-Fi 8 as a fix for the issues that actually frustrate home networks: weak coverage at the edges of a house, congestion as more devices compete for bandwidth, and interference that causes inconsistent connections.
The answer is TP-Link's new Wi-Fi 8 StabilityEngine, the technology foundation underpinning both the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra. It combines several next-generation techniques: Enhanced Long Range (ELR) and Distributed Resource Units (DRU) to extend coverage and boost uplink performance for distant, low-power devices; Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) to keep networks responsive as device counts climb; and Unequal Modulation (UEQM) alongside new Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCS) to hold throughput steady even under heavy interference.
Meet the Lineup
The Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 (Archer BN800) is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router rated for up to 19 Gbps of aggregate wireless speed and 10 Gbps wired connectivity, built around 18 internal high-performance antennas designed for strong, consistent whole-home coverage.
The Deco 8 Ultra BN22000 (Deco BN85) is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 mesh system rated for up to 22 Gbps of aggregate wireless speed and 10 Gbps wired connectivity. A three-pack covers up to 9,800 square feet and supports more than 200 connected devices. TP-Link notes the Deco 8 Ultra's model name and rated speed vary by region to meet local regulations.

Rollout Timeline
The Archer 8 Ultra opens for pre-order in select regions starting September 30, 2026. TP-Link plans to expand the Wi-Fi 8 family further, with the Deco 8 mesh system targeted for Q1 2027, the Roam 8 travel router for Q2 2027, and Wi-Fi 8 range extenders and adapters also arriving in Q2 2027. The company cautions that planned products, timing, and specifications are subject to change and will vary by market.
