The milestone arrives alongside a major industry honor: Bruno has been named the winner of the API World 2026 Award for Best in API Developer Experience, recognizing its approach to giving developers full ownership of their API workflows through Git-native, agent-friendly design.
A Different Take on API Collections
Where most API platforms lock collections inside proprietary cloud workspaces, Bruno takes the opposite approach, storing everything as plain-text files that live directly on a developer's machine.
That design choice means API collections can be versioned right alongside application source code, letting teams collaborate through the Git workflows they already use every day, rather than adopting a separate, siloed collaboration tool.
It also opens the door for AI coding assistants and autonomous agents to read, modify, and run API workflows straight from the repository, with no special integration layer required.
